More-

As we enter a new era of opportunity and success for The Healing Place, the demand for the recovery program continues to grow. We have the challenge and blessing of continuing to provide a successful recovery program to the indigent and underserved while helping other communities replicate a "Model that Works." THP believe we can and will be successful in decreasing the demand for drugs and alcohol by helping men and women find sobriety, while increasing recovery program services for those who need them.

Our Friends at: Agape’ Recovery Ministries

Vision: to develop a program which couples the church with the treatment community to assist individuals in living clean, sober and saved lives.

Mission: New life through reconciliation and recovery.

Agape’ Recovery Ministries (ARM) is a program reaching out to anyone in need of help due to substance abuse.  ARM receives clients one of two ways.  The client can simply call for an interview or be ordered by area courts or other agencies.  We work hand in hand with the courts and are recognized as a resource for some types of offenders.  The main qualification necessary is that the individual desires help with their addiction.

ARM: does not have a residential treatment center but we work with several area half-way houses and treatment centers for those clients who need this type of care.  Should a client not need residential treatment, ARM offers a program structured with 12 Step Meetings, daily contact, regular church attendance, random drug/alcohol testing, counseling, and support to help each client with individual needs to assist them in living a clean and sober life.  We also attend all court hearings with our clients and work with the lawyers and prosecutors to seek out the best avenues for each client.

Currently Agape’ hosts 12 Step Meetings for narcotics Monday – Friday at 7:00 p.m., Monday and Wednesday at 9:00 a.m.  and Sat. evening at 5:00 PM

All of these meetings are open to the public.

General Baptists
Baptists were first identified by the name General Baptists in 17th century England. They were called General Baptists because they believed in a general atonement — holding that the death of Christ made salvation possible for any persons who voluntarily exercise faith in Christ.
In America
In America, the General Baptists also declined and were often overtaken by the churches of the Regular Baptists. Remnants were probably responsible for the rise of the Free Will Baptists in North Carolina. Other groups have risen that have an Armenian general atonement emphasis, including the General Six-Principle Baptists and the General Association of General Baptists. In (2005), the majority of English and American Baptist churches hold a moderately Calvinistic outlook, combining the general atonement whosoever will views of the General Baptists.
